Sunderland have US Sassuolo’s Armand Laurienté on their radar for this summer.

The winger starred for the Italian club this season, scoring 19 goals and registering six assists from 34 games. He was key in helping them secure promotion to Serie A.

Laurienté’s impressive performances haven’t gone unnoticed, and Sunderland are one of the clubs looking at him. That’s according to ASRomaLive.it, and they make it clear it’s their own information.

AS Roma have appointed Gian Piero Gasperini as their new manager and he’s looking for an attacker similar to Atalanta’s Ademola Lookman. This has seen them look at the 26-year-old Frenchman, but the Giallorossi aren’t alone.

Sunderland and Marseille are eyeing up the attacker, and the Black Cats manager, Régis Le Bris, had previously managed Laurienté at FC Lorient.

Le Bris started him in the first three games of the 2022/23 season before he left Lorient for Sassuolo in August 2022.

Sunderland, Roma and Marseille are in the picture for Laurienté, but it isn’t clear if these clubs will take necessary steps to sign him. ASRomaLive.it state he’s valued at €20m.

Over at TuttoMercatoWeb, they state Sassuolo’s Armand Laurienté, Domenico Berardi, Kristian Thorstvedt, Daniel Boloca and Josh Doig have markets. One or more could leave if the Italian club were to receive an offer impossible to refuse.

In short, Sassuolo are open to receiving offers for the Sunderland target this summer.
