Milan Badelj’s agent Dejan Joksimović has denied receiving any contact from Tottenham Hotspur regarding his player.
Despite reports from the English press which say Spurs are believed to be preparing a bid for the Fiorentina midfielder, his representative was clear in saying it’s all he’s heard about the matter.
“I don’t think that is true,” Joksimović told Sport Witness.
“No one has spoken with any Tottenham official regarding Badelj. Maybe the clubs between themselves.”
The defensive midfielder joined Fiorentina from Hamburger SV two years ago for €4m, his price has considerably grown since then, so the Florence club would make a healthy profit should they decide to sell.
The Guardian says the player would cost around £8m, which is roughly what Badelj is valued at on Transfermarkt.
Badelj’s contract with Fiorentina runs until 2018, with an option to renew for one further year.
