Manchester United and Tottenham Hotspur are among various clubs in the mix to sign Borussia Mönchengladbach star Marcus Thuram.
On Thursday, we covered a claim from FcInterNews that the Red Devils have made contact with the striker over a deal for the summer. There was no mention of Spurs.
Calciomercato now state Manchester United and Tottenham could provide competition to Inter Milan to sign the 25-year-old.
The France international’s deal lasts until June and he has no intention to renew it. His ‘farewell is marked’ from the Bundesliga club after this season. This has seen the Serie A side take action to sign him for free in the next window.
Inter would face competition from other clubs and this is when both Manchester United and Tottenham are mentioned. From the Premier League, there are ‘suggestions’ of Erik ten Hag’s side and the north London club wanting the frontman.
Even though Inter can offer Thuram a leading role, Manchester United and Spurs have the financial advantage as the English clubs would be able to guarantee him a rich salary.
Inter, for their part, could offer a net salary of around €5m per year, by taking advantage of the Growth Decree in Italy.
Thuram is expected to leave Gladbach as a free agent in the summer. With several clubs in the mix to sign him, it’ll be interesting to see where he will end up next season.
