Despite the Senegal international’s fine form, Thomas Tuchel’s side are being linked with other keepers, and in particular, Jan Oblak. That’s what Fichajes.net are reporting.
It’s claimed the Slovenia international is in the sights of top European clubs due to his ‘great performances’ for Atlético Madrid.
This is when Thomas Tuchel’s side get a mention, along with his former club, Paris Saint-Germain, as they are the two sides believed to be interested in the custodian.
If multiple reports were to be believed, Chelsea looked at Oblak on several occasions in the past, before they signed Kepa in 2018 and Mendy last summer.
In the event Oblak confirms his exit from Atlético, Fichajes.net state Diego Simeone’s side have identified Aston Villa’s Emiliano Martínez as his possible replacement.
Considering Mendy’s performances this season, it’s unlikely Tuchel and Chelsea will look at Oblak or another goalkeeper in the summer.
