Over the past few days, certain rumours websites have been throwing around stories that Pep Guardiola and Manchester City want to bring Toni Kroos to the Premier League.
El Confidencial have a look at this, and mention the Sunday Express as their source for the City story, but add their own information to the mix.
According to the Spanish newspaper, there is another club after the German midfielder, and that so happens to be Bayern Munich; the club he left to join Real Madrid.
Carlo Ancelotti, who was manager of the Spanish giants when Kroos was transferred, apparently wants to bring him back to Germany as he now takes over from Pep Guardiola at the Bundesliga champions.
El Confidencial say that even though Manchester City’s money would certainly be an advantage in this battle for Kroos, the player’s wife might have the final say.
Apparently, she hasn’t quite adjusted to Spain and would prefer a return to Germany, which she left to follow her man to Madrid.
There is also the fact that Real Madrid don’t particularly want to sell their star midfielder, and would Kroos really want to team up again with the manager he already left behind once?
