Valencia’s Deporte Valenciano report on Wednesday afternoon that Valencia have turned their transfer attentions to Manchester United defender Marcos Rojo.
The Spanish club have been looking at several defensive options, as they look to rebuild their back line, and Rojo has been mentioned before, but maybe not quite this seriously.
Deporte Valenciano take their claims from Radio Taranja, who say Valencia owner Peter Lim has kicked off talks with Manchester United for the transfer of Rojo.
Lim has had business dealings with Manchester United previously, and he has a financial interest in Hotel Football, just outside the Old Trafford stadium.
It’s thought a deal could be done for around €12m, with the understanding being Jose Mourinho doesn’t see Rojo as an important player for his side. That figure sounds very low in the current market for an Argentine international, but then Manchester United aren’t great at selling.
