Southampton youngster Enzo Robise is set to terminate his contract at the club in the coming days before a return to France.
That’s according to RMC Sport journalist Loïc Tanzi, who says the 19-year-old will try to find a new club after returning from injury.
Robise joined Southampton from Stade Reims U19 side in July 2018 and has featured regularly for their youth set up since then, with 25 appearances for the Under 18s and 17 for their B side.
His time with the Under 18s was a promising one, as he managed 11 goals and four assists but that was not replicated with the B team, for whom he has just one goal and assist in 17 games.
He’s managed just 206 minutes of action for Southampton this season, featuring in the Premier League 2 and EFL Trophy between September and November last year.
However, it now appears that both parties have elected to end their relationship this month with Tanzi reporting that Robise will terminate his contract ‘in the coming days’.
The 19-year-old will then return to France for treatment on a muscle injury before ‘attempting to bounce back’ at another club.
Those clubs are not named by Tanzi but Sébastien Denis of Foot Mercato reports that the player is attracting interest from ‘a few English clubs’ and Nice in Ligue 1.
