If there’s one thing José Mourinho has made rather clear since taking over at Tottenham, it’s that Dele Alli isn’t a part of his plans.

Barely featuring under the Portuguese, the England international has been at the centre of rumours regarding a move to Paris Saint-Germain; one Daniel Levy seems a bit opposed to.

That’s because it revolves around a loan, but the midfielder would reunite with Mauricio Pochettino in France, a manager who knows him well and can get the best out of him.

This is why there appears to be a desire from the player’s end to get something done, and it could be wrapped up rather quickly if everything goes right.

That’s according to Canal Plus journalist Geoffroy Garétier, who spoke on Late Football Club on Monday to explain what the situation was.

He said: “I’m told that if it gets done, it’s being negotiated, it could get done in the next 48 hours, but it would be a loan, because regarding the wage bill and the financial means at Paris Saint-Germain, it can’t be a full transfer”.

One to keep an eye on, but with Alli featuring just four times in the Premier League this season, it makes sense for all parties, especially with a potential spot in Gareth Southgate’s squad for the 2020 Euros on the line.
