Southampton have ‘recently enquired’ about a move for Roma youngster Ruben Providence this summer.
That’s according to Fussball Transfers, who say there are a host of clubs keen on the 20-year-old winger.
The website explains that after Providence failed to make the breakthrough at PSG, he moved to Roma, but he is now being linked with a move away to the Bundesliga.
VfB Stuttgart are keen on his signature as they look to bolster their squad and are ‘considering’ making an offer of €3m for the winger.
There is no mention of when this enquiry happened or how it was received in the Italian capital, just that Southampton have been in touch about a possible move.
Whether Roma are willing to sell isn’t mentioned either, but the fact Providence hasn’t made a single appearance since his arrival a year ago suggests he is not a part of their plans.
