According to a claim in the German media, TSG Hoffenheim have made a move for Southampton defender Armel Bella-Kotchap.
The Bundesliga side are looking to bolster their squad before the transfer window closes and the Southampton man has emerged as a prime target.
Florian Plettenberg reports Hoffenheim have come in with an official offer for Bella-Kotchap as they look to finalise a deal for the Germany international.
With the possibility of a return to Germany the 22-year-old is said to be keen on the move and it’s stated that he’s on the verge of leaving Southampton.
There have also been claims of interest from VfB Stuttgart, who reportedly came in with an offer below €10m. However, it’s claimed Southampton rejected this and his future now looks like it will be with Hoffenheim.
Bella-Kotchap was loaned out to PSV last summer for the season but struggled with injury and therefore failed to make an impression in the Netherlands.
Since signing for Southampton in 2022 he’s made 26 appearances and is contracted to the Saints until June 2026.
