Southampton striker Ben Brereton Diaz has set off alarm bells in Chile after being pulled out of training.
That’s according to La Tercera, who report Brereton Diaz had ‘set off a new alarm’ in La Roja’s set up ahead of clashes against Argentina and Bolivia.
They explain that the Southampton forward was pulled out of the morning practice being undertaken by Ricardo Gareca’s team, which was the last one before they travel to Buenos Aires for their clash against Argentina later today.
He left the Juan Pinto Durán sports complex in a vehicle arranged by the ANFP in order to under go a ‘specialised inspection’.
Southampton fans need not fear too much about their summer signing, though, as he was simply heading to the dentist.
What he needed to visit the dentist for, other than a sudden unidentified problem with his teeth of course, isn’t mentioned.
The positive news is that he is expected to be a part of the delegation heading to Argentina on a charter flight from Ezeiza international airport at 3pm. That would suggest his visit to the dentist was not for anything too serious.
