On April 16th, we carried a report from Foot Mercato, who explained Southampton have initiated contacts with Randal Kolo Muani’s entourage.

The Saints are not the only club in England who are chasing the forward, who has been a ‘revelation’ for FC Nantes this season.

According to Foot-Sur, Watford are also looking at the 22-year-old, who has six goals and seven assists in 35 league matches.

It’s claimed Watford and Ralph Hasenhüttl’s side are ‘positioned to recruit’ the France U21 international. As well from the two English clubs, there are many other sides keen on acquiring the player’s services.

Club Brugge are also interested in Randal Kolo Muani’s profile. Former Leicester City manager Claude Puel ‘wants to attract’ him to Saint-Étienne.

From Germany, there’s ‘definitely a big fight’ between Eintracht Frankfurt, SC Freiburg and RB Leipzig to secure the attacker’s signature.

According to Nantes insider Emmanuel Merceron, relayed by Foot-Sur, Jesse Marsch tried to sign Randal Kolo Muani for Red Bull Salzburg and now wants to bring him to Leipzig.

With a contract expiring in 2022, clubs like Southampton, Watford and others can sign Randal Kolo Muani for €7m in the summer.
