According to a claim in the Turkish media, Southampton and Nottingham Forest are showing interest in Fenerbahce defender Ferdi Kadıoğlu.
The 24-year-old has been linked with a move to the Premier League in recent weeks after his performances at Euro 20024 this summer.
Sabah today report on the situation with Kadıoğlu and say Southampton and Nottingham Forest are the latest English sides looking to sign the left back.
It’s claimed both clubs have come in with offers for the Turkey international, but these have been rejected. There are no reports what amounts were tabled, but Fener value in the player in the region of €35m.
However, Sabah report Fenerbahce aren’t keen to sell the defender in this transfer window and are subsequently trying to tie him down to a five-year contract.
Despite this it’s claimed the player is tempted by playing in England, so those two desires could clash.
Kadıoğlu made 41 appearances for Fenerbahce last season, scoring 3 goals. He’s contracted to the Yellow Canaries until June 2026.
