Earlier today, La Repubblica explained Tottenham Hotspur are set to make a super-offer to Antonio Conte, to secure the manager’s future until 2025.
It was also stated the 53-year-old is not in a hurry to commit his long-term future to the north London club.
The Italian’s deal runs down at the end of this season and Tottenham have an option to extend it further until 2024.
Recent claims have talked about the ex-Chelsea manager returning to Juventus. The Serie A side are currently struggling under Massimiliano Allegri’s orders and his future there remains uncertain.
For the past few days, there have been rumours of Spurs’ interest in Leonardo Bonucci.
As per Sport Mediaset, the defender and Conte could be reunited ‘soon, perhaps very soon’, either at the Premier League side or Juve.
In order to convince retain their manager, it’s suggested Tottenham could work to bring the centre-back to the club, as he played under Conte at Juve, but also with the Italy national team.
The 35-year-old’s situation at Juve is delicate as he doesn’t share a good relationship with Allegri. If the latter were to stay at the club, Bonucci could consider leaving Juve after this season.
He earns €7m per year and the report explains Juventus would not stand in the player’s way, if he wants a move elsewhere.
Sport Mediaset state it is unlikely Bonucci could join Tottenham in January. As it stands, it is only a hypothesis, but ‘something is moving’ with regards to his and Conte’s future.
