Since Lloyd Kelly joined Juventus from Newcastle United, the Italian press hasn’t been kind to the defender.

While the centre-back has not quite impressed for the Old Lady, it has been only weeks since his arrival from St James Park and it might be quick to make assumptions about him.

More has emerged from La Gazzetta dello Sport about the arrival from Newcastle United.

The outlet states, via JSpazio, that Kelly is at the risk of being sold by Juventus in the summer transfer window.

He has not been ‘particularly convincing’ for manager Thiago Motta and if things don’t change till the end of the season, the Englishman can be moved on at the next possible opportunity.

As of now, Kelly is on loan from Newcastle United but the Bianconeri have the obligation to buy him permanently. Once that obligation is exercised, a sale can be executed in the summer.

It is another sign of the Italian press being over-critical of a player who is playing in a completely new country and environment.

The real problems at Juventus are bigger than just one player and perhaps, Kelly is becoming an easy target.
