Loaned from Galatasaray last season to FC Nantes, Mostafa Mohamed impressed enough at the Ligue 1 side for them to spend €6m on him to make the move permanent.
However, they weren’t the only club to take an interest in the Egyptian forward’s services, as Sheffield United, back in the Premier League, are keen.
This is according to Foot Mercato in France, who explain that despite Mohamed only recently signing his permanent deal with Nantes, the striker could already be on his way out.
Two sides, with those being Lille and Sheffield United, have placed the 25-year-old on their books for the transfer window, with the former taking note just in case they end up selling Jonathan David.
As for the Blades, they are said to be ‘seduced’ by the Egypt international, who has seven goals in 26 caps for his country.
Regarding Nantes in all this, they aren’t overly thrilled at the idea of selling a player very much loved by the fans for his determination on the pitch, and it could be they will need to be promised a hefty profit to be able to let him go to Sheffield United, or Lille.
