Barcelona winger Alex Collado is reportedly on his way to the Championship.
According to Sport, Sheffield United managed to reach an agreement to sign the 22-year-old on a season-long deal.
Even though the player had decided to stay at the Camp Nou, the fact he hadn’t been picked for the last two games convinced him to ‘change airs’ and seek minutes somewhere else.
It’s said the Blades made a ‘good economic offer’ which convinced the player. ‘At first’, there’s no buying option in the deal.
Sheffield United’s interest in Collado started being reported at the weekend, when Mundo Deportivo broke the news about the offer to sign him on a loan.
It was claimed at the time that the youngster was considering his situation at Barcelona and evaluating his options, as other clubs such as Braga and Brugge had already chased him this summer as well.
In the end, it seems it’s the Blades who managed to win the race.
