Manchester City’s interest in Nélson Semedo has been discussed in the Catalan media for over a month now.
Sport have been regularly reporting about the Premier League winners wanting to sign the Barcelona right-back after failing to land him last summer.
On May 11th, the newspaper explained ‘everything indicates’ the Portugal international’s next destination would be the Etihad.
Catalunya Ràdio now talks about interest from Pep Guardiola’s side in the 26-year-old.
It’s claimed City are not the only club keen on the fullback as there’s interest also from Inter Milan, Bayern Munich and Paris Saint-Germain.
Semedo is not an ‘undisputed holder’ at Camp Nou, which is why the Blaugrana are hoping to sell him in the upcoming window. Therefore, they have made him available in the transfer market.
The player’s contract lasts until 2022 and his future is likely to be away from the Spanish champions. With interest from Manchester City and other clubs, Quique Setién’s side are ready to part ways with Semedo and they ‘expect to receive around’ €50m.
Time should tell whether or not Barca’s valuation for the defender will be met.
