West Ham boss Slaven Bilic has been under pressure at various points this season but the Dimitri Payet saga seems to have given him a boost.
The Hammers lost 4-0 to Manchester City in their last match, following two good wins on the bounce, and there are rumours about the long term future of the Croatian manager.
According to Calciomercato, former Manchester City boss Roberto Mancini is on the radar of West Ham. Calciomercato say West Ham have already initiated contacts to appoint Mancini, and that the Italian is also excited about the possibility of returning to the Premier League.
It’s been reported Mancini is waiting for the phone call from West Ham, and that could arrive very soon. There were similar reports in the English media last night, but Calciomercato insist they have been told the same.
While Mancini could be a good appointment for West Ham, it still remains to be seen if West Ham are genuinely looking for other options at this point of time.
This could well be Mancini’s camp talking up the manager’s availability. Last week Mancini himself flirted with the PSG job, despite Unai Emery already having it.
The former Manchester City manager wants a new job, and it doesn’t appear he’s afraid to hide it.
