Feyenoord’s Dávid Hancko recently revealed he’d held talks with Liverpool manager Arne Slot over a move to Anfield last summer. The transfer didn’t go through, but the Reds are still said to be interested in him.

Slot has already managed the 27-year-old at the Eredivisie side and is a fan of his former player.

On February 19th, journalist Süleyman Öztürk stated Slot wants to reunite with Hancko at Liverpool. Last month, the centre-back suggested he’s ready for a transfer after claims the Merseyside club want him in the summer window.

Calciomercato now cover Juventus’ interest, and their title says there’s a ‘risk of mockery’ in their pursuit of the Liverpool target.

The Slovakia international is set for a big move and Juve have been optimistic of acquiring his services.

Juve’s recent internal problems coupled with Thiago Motta’s exit makes it complicated for them sign Hancko. Their technical director, Cristiano Giuntoli, hasn’t been able to define the details of the agreement with his agent and Feyenoord, who are requesting €25m.

Calciomercato state Bayer Leverkusen and clubs from the Premier League have already asked about the defender.

With Liverpool already showing interest, they could take advantage of Juve’s situation and snatch Hancko from their clutches.

Given the confidence there had been in Italy about the Turin club having pretty much secured the player in advance of the summer, that’s why it would be seen as ‘mockery’.
