Newcastle United goalkeeper Tim Krul has been offered to Deportivo La Coruna, report El Desmarque in Spain.

The Dutchman needs to find a destination for next season, being out of Rafael Benitez’s plans, and whilst there’s been several promising paths so far, none of them have actually led anywhere.

El Desmarque couldn’t sound less excited if they tried about the prospect of Krul moving to Deportivo.

It’s explained that whilst Depor look for a new striker, with their eyes still focused on Lucas Perez, Newcastle’s Krul is one of a ‘constant dribble’ of goalkeepers offered to the club.

A transfer isn’t thought to be a likely outcome, despite talks being initiated by whoever has offered Krul to Deportivo.

Newcastle United requiring ‘economic compensation’ (money) for Krul, coupled with fitness doubts about the player, has seen Deportivo distance themselves from the potential signing.

The Newcastle move is being talked up elsewhere, most notably in the Netherlands, but it’s El Desmarque who started the story and they pretty much killed it in the same article.
