Chelsea star Nemanja Matic was linked with a move to Juventus during the summer, but it always felt a little unlikely that a deal would come off.
The Serbian international has started all the matches so far this season for Chelsea under Antonio Conte, and it remains to be seen if the Italian manager would want to part ways with him in the near future.
According to an exclusive on Italian website Calciomercatoweb, Juventus are ready to revive their interest in Matic. It’s reported Antonio Conte opposed the sale of Matic during the summer, but things have changed now and the 28-year-old could be sold.
Juventus boss Massimiliano Allegri believes Matic could be an ideal signing for them, and the club are ready to fulfil his wishes. Calciomercatoweb say Juventus have decided to make a ‘really important’ offer, and are ready to bid €27m during the winter transfer window for Matic.
It remains to be seen if Chelsea would be interested in allowing the Serbian leave mid-season, and most importantly, we don’t know yet if Conte wants to sell him at all.
