Celtic knew this was the right time to sell him, and they eventually did, allowing him to join Union Berlin, where he has immediately become a fan favourite with his performances.
He’s terribly happy there, as he made clear in an interview with rbb24 Radio, relayed by Sportschau, where he spoke of the interest of clubs and his decision to move to Union Berlin.
The 27-year-old had signed for Celtic back in the summer of 2021 from Legia Warsaw for €3m, and made 53 appearances in all competitions for the Scottish side, scoring six goals and assisting another three before Union Berlin paid €8.5m to take him to Germany.
