Le Havre striker Joseph Mendes has been tipped to leave the Ligue 1 club this summer, with just another year left on his contract. La Havre have a chance to get a fee for the player, rather than losing him for nothing when his contract expires.
According to France Football, Mendes is heading to England, after a deal was agreed between Championship side Reading and Le Havre. Local media outlet Get Reading have also backed claims of Mendes signing for Reading.
It is reported the player is expected to undergo his medical tests with Reading today, after which a deal should be completed. And then the club can announce everything and get him in a shirt and holding a scarf.
The 25-year-old scored 9 goals in 37 appearances for Le Havre last season, and is set to leave the club after two seasons.
