Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp sold as many as 17 players in his first season at Borussia Dortmund, and many expected a mass exodus at Anfield this summer too.

Klopp, however, doesn’t need to sell 17 players at Liverpool as he has inherited a much better squad than he did at Dortmund, but a few of the big names are expected to leave after the club 8th in the Premier League last season.

Long serving defender Martin Skrtel is close to completing his move to Fenerbahce, whilst the likes of Joe Allen, Lucas Leiva, Christian Benteke, Mario Balotelli, Lazar Markovic, and Jordon Ibe are facing uncertain futures.

Kolo Toure was released when his contract ended, whilst João Carlos Teixeira was allowed to leave for Porto.

Liverpool have reportedly accepted a bid of £15m from Bournemouth for Jordon Ibe, and the next name of the list could be Belgian star Christian Benteke.

Reports suggest Crystal Palace are very keen on the striker, and have already submitted a bid for the player. Liverpool are likely to recoup most of the £32.5m they paid for him a season ago.

Liverpool fans, however, should wait for the potential sale of Benteke till at least next week, according to Belgian freelance journalist Sven Claes.

The player has failed to make an impact at Anfield, and that’s partly because the Reds have a different playing style to his previous club Aston Villa.
