According to a claim in the Turkish media, Galatasaray are showing an interest in Rangers defender Ridvan Yilmaz.
The right back was in Philippe Clement’s starting eleven at the weekend for their draw with Hearts, but in recent months there have claims circulating that he could return to the Super Lig.
Takvim today report on Galatasaray’s search for a left back and they say the Rangers man is now their priority to fill this position. Earlier today there were claims Gala were also interested in Tottenham Hotspur’s Sergio Reguilón.
It’s claimed Galatasaray will try to convince Yilmaz over a return to his home country after previously being linked with his former club Besiktas this summer.
The Turkish media outlet report Cimbom will look to make their move for the Rangers player this week, but the player is said to be concerned what the reaction would be from Besiktas fans.
Yilmaz made 32 appearances for Rangers last season, scoring 2 goals. He’s contracted to the Scottish club until June 2027 after joining them from Besiktas in 2022.
