Every time British clubs go to Portugal for a football match, the local press reports how fans have been behaving in the city.

This time, Rangers supporters who arrived early to Braga were able to enjoy the local carnival, and newspaper O Jogo details a little of their visit.

Rangers rocked SC Braga in the first leg at Ibrox, coming back from 2-0 down to beat the Portuguese side, thanks to goals from Ianis Hagi and Joe Aribo, so fans are travelling with optimism.

The outlet claims that even though the weather wasn’t great, leaving most people resting at home, the holiday was an ‘invite’ for Rangers fans to have drinks in town.

They report the presence of drinks, chants and flags, with Rangers supporters being accompanied by the local police. But there are no claims of any kind of trouble.

O Jogo writes that despite the rain and cold, the weather was still not as bad as in Scotland, and that’s why Rangers fan still had something positive to enjoy.

Five thousand Scottish fans are expected at the Estádio Municipal de Braga tonight, and they’ll be cheering on Steven Gerrard’s men with enthusiasm.
