As Allan McGregor prepares to finally leave Rangers for good, Michael Beale will be in need of a new goalkeeper to replace the 41-year-old.
While he can count on the likes of Jon McLaughlin and Robby McCrorie at Ibrox, there is a belief a new number one could be needed, which is where Timo Horn might come in.
This is according to Corriere dello Sport, who claim that Rangers are one of the teams interested in the 30-year-old, who has announced he will be leaving 1.FC Köln.
Horn lost his spot to Marvin Schwäbe, and will be looking for first-team football elsewhere, which is where the Ibrox side could come in.
They aren’t the only ones interested, mind, as Fiorentina are also eyeing up the shot stopper, who has been with his club since 2002.
Corriere explain that ‘in the past, there had already been a first enquiry by Hamburg’, while Rangers ‘would also be interested in the German’.
We’ll have to wait and see if more comes of this in the coming days, but the interest from the Ibrox side does make sense taking into account their current goalkeeping situation.
