Schalke striker Pape Meïssa Ba is in advanced negotiations with Queens Park Rangers over a move to Loftus Road.

That’s according to Fussball Transfers, who report that Ba could be set for a quick exit from the German club after joining them in the January transfer window.

They say that Ba is in advanced negotiations with QPR, who would like to ‘pluck’ the striker from Gelsenkirchen this summer.

Negotiations are already underway between the various parties, and the finish line is in sight for those too. There’s no mention of the potential transfer fee, or even if it is a permanent transfer or a loan deal. The assumption is that it is the former.

Either way, talks are progressing for Ba to leave Schalke after a six-month period in which he’s made little to no impact.

He was brought in during the January transfer window to relieve the pressure on Moussa Sylla but that hasn’t worked out as far as Fussball Transfers are concerned.

Now he appears to be on his way out and heading to Loftus Road, with QPR pushing to get a deal done for him.
