Turkish TV Channel A Spor have confirmed that Besiktas are very close to completing the signing of Everton midfielder Davy Klaassen.

A Spor’s Besiktas journalist Hakan Gundogar has claimed the Turkish club will loan the Dutchman for two seasons.

Gundogar say Besiktas are set to pay Everton a €3m loan fee over two seasons, and that Cenk Tosun has played a key role in the deal.

According to what Gundogar said, there are only a couple of issues left with regards to the transfer, with one of those being the redemption clause at the end of the loan agreement.

Everton are looking for €20m to eventually make the move permanent, but Besiktas officials are hoping the Premier League side can lower this.

Earlier this week we covered reports from Turkey that Besiktas are showing a serious interest in the Everton player, and it seems the Turkish giants are on their way to complete their first summer signing.

It was claimed Everton boss Marco Silva will have the final say if Klaassen moves this summer. The player’s agent recently talked a move down, explaining Klaassen is determined to succeed at Goodison Park.
