Last week, we covered claims from the Argentine media which stated Nottingham Forest have agreed a deal with CA Talleres to sign Ramón Sosa this summer.
On August 2nd, Talleres president Andrés Fassi stated that the Reds changed everything, after they verbally agreed a deal for the 24-year-old’s transfer.
Fassi was expected to travel to Europe to help the winger seal a move to Nottingham Forest.
According to La Voz, he has travelled, but didn’t make a trip to England. He planned to arrive in Madrid and then travel to Paris, to watch his daughter, who is a top golfer, in action at the Olympics.
Meanwhile, the Paraguay international trained alone on Tuesday. This was done with a view to avoiding injury. At the same time, the report says he’s waiting for Nottingham Forest to take the necessary steps to secure his services.
Argentina’s Cadena 3 had a chat with Fassi and he insists that Nuno Espírito Santo’s side can close the deal for the attacker quickly, and his comments are relayed by Versus.
“The issue of Ramón Sosa is in the process of being defined. If they don’t give Talleres what has been agreed, he won’t leave,” he said.
“The fact is that last weekend, Nottingham Forest changed the verbally agreed conditions and the transfer that seemed done in the order of $15m, today is on standby but not fallen.”
Fassi’s comments are a clear and very public warning for Nottingham Forest to stick to their word and revert to the original offer to secure Sosa’s services.
