On Thursday, Clarín stated Ramón Sosa and Talleres president Andrés Fassi have travelled to England to finalise his move to Nottingham Forest.
The deal to take the 24-year-old to Nottingham Forest hasn’t been done yet. That’s at least what Olé are reporting and they add that the president cancelled the trip to Europe.
Nottingham Forest saw their initial offer rejected by Talleres, and agreed to improve their bid to get closer to $15m excluding bonuses.
Sources from the Argentine club told Olé that there’s an ‘important difference’ in the deal which the Reds agreed and the bid they proposed to Talleres.
There’s belief that Nuno Espírito Santo’s side will sort this out as the report says Fassi will travel to Europe in the ‘next few hours, to close ‘first-hand’, Sosa’s transfer to Nottingham Forest.
Talleres manager Walter Ribonetto states the winger is training alone.
“He’s training, but he’s not doing anything with opposition. With the ball but individually. He’s getting physically fit after the holidays he had and the Copa América,” he said.
Olé’s claim is backed up by the president himself during a chat with La Voz Deportes.
When asked about the reported trip to England, Fassi explained: “I will travel if what we agreed is the same as what is written. For now, it is not, and they changed everything! We’ll see in the next few hours.”
La Voz Deportes claim Talleres want at least $15m [£11.7m] plus bonuses to take the deal to $20m [£15.7m].
Sosa is still expected to join the English club, once they make a written offer at the same figures that were agreed upon with Talleres.
