On December 15th, journalist Gianluca Di Marzio stated AFC Bournemouth’s Hamed Traorè is on Sevilla’s agenda for the winter market.
This is backed up by today’s ABC Sevilla, who state the La Liga side are looking at the 23-year-old for next month.
Bournemouth signed the attacking midfielder from Sassuolo last January and he featured regularly until he suffered an injury in April.
The Ivory Coast international hasn’t had a prominent role after Andoni Iraola arrived at the Liberty Stadium in the summer. He’s been restricted to 181 minutes from six games, out of which three matches were in the EFL Cup.
It’s claimed the player is ‘presented as an opportunity’ to the La Liga side, who could have the option of bolstering their squad with his addition. If they were to go ahead with this operation, it would be on a loan deal.
ABC Sevilla don’t mention whether Bournemouth, who invested €25m to secure his services, are willing to let go of the attacker on loan. Their decision could be key for a potential deal in January.
Traorè will be with the national team for the upcoming AFCON. This means Sevilla will be without him for a few matches in January and February, if they were to sign him.
In short, Sevilla have ‘advantages and disadvantages’ ahead of the January window.
