Hoping youth players fulfil their potential is an entirely natural feeling and it often leads to excitement perhaps going a little over the top.

That’s the feeling when we get to read Galicia Press’ story on Tottenham Hotspur winger Yago Santiago, as they’re clearly big admirers of how their local player is finding his place at Spurs.

The outlet starts by claiming that Ange Postecoglou ‘lacked the courage’ to give the 18-year-old a chance to make his debut in the FA Cup clash against Manchester City last week, as he stayed on the bench.

It’s claimed that Santiago’s time to play for Tottenham is ‘getting closer and closer’, and the manager already saw his potential when rising through the youth ranks.

Galicia Press sounds very confident about the winger, who was born in Vigo, claiming the Premier League is ‘not prepared for what’s coming’, as he’s ready to ‘shine and fly’ in English football.

It’s said that Santiago has already ‘gained muscle’ at Tottenham’s academy, and as soon as Postecoglou decides to give him his debut, he’s ready to show all his potential.

That’s undoubtedly a great story to excite Spurs’ fans, and we’ll be waiting to see if he’s ready to match the Galicia expectations.
