AC Milan’s Franck Kessié has less than six months on his current deal and a refusal to sign a new deal with the Serie A side has seen him catch attention of clubs across Europe.
From England, Tottenham Hotspur and Newcastle United have so far been pushed forward as the clubs looking at the midfielder for the next window. Arsenal have now been added to the same list, if a report from today’s edition of Sport is to be believed.
Barcelona are also in the picture and the report states the La Liga side have reactivated the negotiations to sign the 25-year-old. Having already made contact months ago, the Catalan club have ‘intensified’ talks in recent weeks.
Sport state the proposals from the Premier League greats have not come to fruition and the ones that have sent offers have not ended up convincing Kessié. The Gunners, as per the report, belong in the latter category.
In other words, the offer made by Mikel Arteta’s side has not pleased the player.
As things stand, Sport explain that the idea of playing for Barcelona ‘seduces’ the former Atalanta man.
Therefore, if Arsenal want to sign Kessié on a free transfer, they need to be more convincing, probably by making a better economic proposal.
