Aston Villa could make a ‘potential double offer of €55m’ to sign Denzel Dumfries and Marcelo Brozovic from Inter Milan this summer, according to InterLive.
The pair have been linked with exits for months, and the Italian media assume that multiple Premier League clubs will swoop for the Dutchman and the Croatian.
Dumfries is 27-years-of-age and during his time at Inter Milan he’s been converted from a right-back to more of a right-winger. This season hasn’t been his best and he’s been losing prominence with the Serie A club.
Brozovic is 30-years-of-age and has been a very important player for Inter in recent years, but there’s repeated doubts about his future and offers would be listened to in the summer window.
InterLive don’t make it clear where the €55m comes from, but it all sounds like something the Italian club desire rather than Aston Villa pursue.
With both players on the market, there’s bound to be agents at work trying to find interested parties. In that scenario, it would be no surprise if Villa have been contacted.
However, Mateu Alemany will have his own plans and may turn his nose up at two players who Inter are edging towards the door.
