On Thursday, the Watford Observer came up with big news saying the relationship between Marco Silva and club owner Ginno Pozzo has totally fallen apart.
The local newspaper claimed that the alliance between them had “now deteriorated to the extent of being nearly non-existant”, as “Silva has not seen eye-to-eye with the club’s owner since August”.
That’s the kind of news that the Portuguese press normally covers seriously, especially because the Observer is frequently quoted by the newspapers every time they have news about Marco Silva.
But it turns out O Jogo have different information about this case, and went completely against the Observer when responding to their story.
They claim the news about a bad relationship between Silva and Pozzo ‘is fake’, and say that this is not the first time the English press makes up such story.
O Jogo doesn’t add anything to prove their point or to say that the two have a great friendship. All the Portuguese outlet does is to translate several of the Observer’s claims, after saying it’s all fake.
We’re pretty sure that the Observer has sources close to the situation, but considering O Jogo’s side, there’s certainly someone in Portugal saying it’s all fine between Silva and Pozzo. Wonder who it is.
