It looks like Portuguese director of football Luis Campos is indeed joining José Mourinho at Tottenham Hotspur very soon.
Earlier today, claims from France have said his destination ‘should’ be the London side, following his departure from Lille.
Now Portuguese outlet RTP come up with an update saying Campos will indeed work with José Mourinho in the Premier League.
They start their story by saying Canal+ were the first to report it. Then RTP say that ‘sources close to the director and to the manager’ both claim that Campos is close to signing for Spurs.
RTP is a public service broadcasting organisation, and don’t get involved in football rumours unless they’re pretty certain of what’s happening.
They point out that Campos should be the sixth Portuguese element at Tottenham Hotspur, following the arrivals of José Mourinho, Ricardo Formosinho, João Sacramento, Nuno Santos and Gedson Fernandes this year.
The director had also been linked to the likes of AS Roma and AC Milan.
