Tottenham Hotspur’s interest in the Inter Milan midfielder Matias Vecino is highlighted by Italian newspaper Tuttosport today.
The outlet claims the 27-year-old has been a target for Mauricio Pochettino for a long time, with Spurs already thinking of signing him in January to replace Moussa Dembele.
Now with a new stadium, Daniel Levy would be more convinced to make bigger investments and take the club closer to the top sides of the Premier League, which are named as Manchester City and Liverpool.
Tuttosport says this change in the club’s policy would even happen because of Mauricio Pochettino’s requests to strengthen the squad.
For now, Tuttosport says Vecino has a €30m tag price. But at the end of the season, Inter Milan are expect to revaluate all their midfield, with most of the players leaving the club. So maybe the figures will be changed by then.
The outlet claims Napoli’s Amadou Diawara is also a target for Tottenham, but Vecino is considered to be more ready to play for the club.
