Pochettino action shows ‘giant step’ in Tottenham Hotspur transfer

 

Catalan newspaper Sport report in their Sunday edition that Maurccio Pochettino has got involved in the Federico Fazio stand-off.

Sport explain that Fazio has been left out of Tottenham’s touring squad, which they say is a ‘giant step’ and Pochettino opening the door for a transfer and making it very clear to everyone.

Sport say Pochettino has now made Fazio aware he needs to find another club, and the tour snub shows the player has no future at Tottenham.

However, all of this was already known. It didn’t take Pochettino doing anything to make it clear Tottenham would be looking to move Fazio on. The Argentine’s loan at Sevilla underlined that, and he was hardly likely to have a Spurs future after that temporary move failed.

The big issue for Spurs is finding a club that both want Fazio and are willing to part with at least a little money for him. Espanyol fit the first category, but they’re dancing around the second.
