UD Almería’s Ibrahima Koné has been linked with a move to Leeds United in the summer window.
Thursday’s edition of Diario de Almería mentions Leeds when discussing the 25-year-old’s peculiar situation. Almería sent the striker on loan to Al-Okhdood after their relegation from La Liga last season.
Koné managed three goals and an assist from 15 games for the Saudi club, who have been relegated from the top flight. He hasn’t featured for them since January and claims from the Middle East state his temporary stay has been terminated.
The Mali international hasn’t returned to his parent club and the report says they are currently unaware of his whereabouts.
Recent claims from elsewhere have stated Leeds and Trabzonspor are considering a move for him in the upcoming window. It’s even reported the Turkish club are willing to make an offer to buy or sign Koné on loan with an option to buy.
Diario de Almería say the player won’t be included in the Spanish club’s plans next season. Therefore, Almería are willing to accept one of the offers on the table.
