Atlético Madrid’s Kieran Trippier is considered a ‘priority reinforcement’ for Manchester United this summer, according to AS.
The Red Devils’ interest in the right-back has been repeatedly reported in the British press over the past few weeks.
Some of the claims said the player has started looking for a house in Manchester and Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s side have made a first offer worth £20m.
Claims made in England are relayed by the Spanish newspaper, and they also provide the La Liga winners’ stance on the 30-year-old.
AS’s title states ‘Trippier is non-transferable’, but that’s not completely backed up within the report.
Therefore, ‘only a great offer coupled with the player’s express request to leave’ would see Atlético ‘open the doors’ for the former Burnley man to leave the club this summer. There’s no mention of what constitutes a ‘great offer’.
In the event Atlético end up losing Trippier, they will have to dip in the market to look for his replacement since neither Šime Vrsaljko nor Santiago Arias have convinced the Spanish club.
