Earlier on Tuesday, TuttoMercatoWeb explained that Aston Villa are in talks to sign Gerard Deulofeu as Unai Emery wants the Udinese player in the winter market.
The Villans’ interest is backed up Gazzetta dello Sport, who state Udinese ‘can immediately give’ the forward to the Premier League side.
A knee injury has forced the forward to spend time on the sidelines since November 12th and has now returned to training.
Meanwhile, the indiscretions of his possible sale to Aston Villa arose on Monday.
Although the player has been a great professional at the Serie A side, the ‘desire to aspire to something more prestigious’ at Aston Villa could ‘bring back the motivation’.
The report further adds Emery’s side are keen to secure his services in January.
The Spaniard has less than 18 months left on his contract that includes an annual salary of €2.5m, meaning that if Aston Villa were to sign him, Gazzetta state it would be a ‘good deal for everyone’.
That’s because Emery will have the player he wanted and he will get a move to the Premier League.
In addition to this, Udinese will make sure Deulofeu doesn’t enter the final year of his contract.
It is for this reason Udinese ‘can immediately give’ Deulofeu to Aston Villa.
