Kelechi Iheanacho left Leicester City in the summer after his contract at the King Power ran out.
He certainly left a mark at Foxes since his move from Manchester City, but it was best for both parties that they moved on.
Despite his ability, physical issues have often held Iheanacho back, as Leicester City fans will be well aware.
Those problems have now followed him to Sevilla, where he’s struggled to become a regular.
Spanish newspaper AS note that the Nigerian was Victor Orta’s ‘big attacking bet’ in the summer but his physical condition has left much to be desired, as he has played only 272 minutes in La Liga.
After making consecutive starts, he hasn’t even come off the bench in the last two games.
So far, he hasn’t lived up to the hype. Despite the fact that the Andalusians need a fit and firing centre-forward, Iheanacho isn’t being given strong consideration due to his fitness problems.
Sevilla are 13th in the table and see recruiting a new No.9 as something urgent ahead of January. That, obviously, doesn’t bode very well for Iheanacho and his life after Leicester City.
