Atalanta are continuing to push forward with their efforts to sign Birmingham City midfielder Jordan James, with a €5m plus bonuses offer on the table.
That’s according to Tutto Atalanta, who cover the transfer situation at the club today and the impending move for James.
Reports earlier today have indicated that Atalanta are pushing to sign the Birmingham City man, with it claimed they will accelerate over the coming days to get a deal secured.
Those reports indicated the Italian side are looking at a €5m deal and Tutto Atalanta back that up, stating the deal will be worth €5m plus bonuses.
They explain that Atalanta are ‘aiming to take advantage’ of Birmingham’s current ‘sub-optimal situation’ coupled with the player’s enthusiasm, to get the deal done. They’re excited about a potential move for the Welshman, who has ‘already proven his worth’ for club and country.
They see him as something of a mix of what they already have and like him because of it and already ‘prepare to welcome’ him to the club.
That will require an agreement being struck with Birmingham first but they’re working on that front, seeming encouraged by the response they’ve received from James.
