Bayern Munich released Jérôme Boateng at the end of last season and the centre-back is yet to find a new club.
According to Calciomercato.it, the free agent is ‘very disappointed and angry’ he hasn’t started his new adventure after his ‘painful’ departure from the Bavarian club.
It’s claimed the 32-year-old’s ‘dream’ has been to join Manchester United in the ongoing window.
The German’s ‘priority’ is to play in the Champions League next season and joining the Red Devils would help him achieve it. There’s no mention whether or not United want to take the player this summer.
Boateng, meanwhile, is also drawing attention from Serie A where Juventus, AC Milan, Napoli, Lazio and Roma are named as possible suitors.
It’s said there have been ‘significant contacts’ between the player and José Mourinho’s side in recent weeks.
Boateng’s ‘dream’ this summer is to sign for Manchester United, and with Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s side having reached an agreement with Real Madrid for Raphaël Varane, it remains to be seen whether the Premier League club will look to sign another centre-back in this window.
