Savinho is looking increasingly likely to end up at Manchester City from Girona this summer, with the Spanish side already on the hunt for his replacement.
That’s according to Sport, who say Girona have already targeted winger Alexander Aravena to replace the Brazilian.
The newspaper explains that while Girona are planning for life in the Champions League, they are doing so with major doubts about some of the players who have been key to getting them there.
Savinho is the one creating the most uncertainty as Manchester City, the team at the top of the City Group network that also owns Girona, want to reinforce their options on the wing.
Savinho is the man they have their eye on as he’s one of the emerging stars on the European scene and they want him at the Etihad because of it.
They’ve been watching his performances for Girona this season with interest and the Spanish side are aware of that, so much so that they’ve already lined up his replacement.
Sport cite TNT Sports, who report that CD Universidad Catolica winger Alexander Aravena is being targeted by Girona, Sevilla and Bologna.
He has two goals and one assist in 11 games this season but managed 14 goals and six assists in 34 games last season and it seems that has attracted interest from Europe.
His potential arrival at Girona depends on Manchester City signing Savinho first, but that is very much seen as more than likely to happen at this point.
