Viktor Gyökeres’ impressive debut season at Sporting has seen him draw attention from several European clubs, including Chelsea and Arsenal.
The striker has scored 36 goals and registered 15 assists from 41 games this season, and both Chelsea and Arsenal have been sending their officials to closely follow him in action for the Lions.
Saturday’s edition of A Bola states the Premier League duo, Paris Saint-Germain and AC Milan have all set their sights on the 25-year-old for the summer window.
Rúben Amorim’s side will host Benfica later today, and the Sweden international’s agents will travel to Lisbon for this crucial tie. In addition to this, Chelsea, Arsenal and a few other clubs could have scouts there.
A Bola state the player’s agents haven’t received a proposal from any of the clubs so far. With Chelsea, Arsenal and other clubs in the picture, it’s claimed the representative is expected to have a meeting with the Portuguese club to discuss his client’s future.
Gyökeres’ deal lasts until 2028 and it has a €100m release clause. Sporting’s desire is to retain him, while they are well aware a big money sale could also be carried out in the summer.
A Bola state there could be a possibility for the two parties to discuss increasing Gyökeres’ salary and the release clause as well. There could be more updates after the agents hold a meeting with Sporting in the next few days.
