Yuri Alberto is yet to receive an offer from Wolverhampton Wanderers, despite reports that Vitor Pereira has requested his signing.

That’s according to journalist Jorge Nicola, via Bolavip, who reports that the Corinthians striker’s agent André Cury is insisting nothing is happening as yet.

Reports today have stated that Alberto is firmly on Wolves radar at this moment in time, with it claimed today that Pereira has specifically requested his signing this summer.

That’s led Nicola to explore what’s going on and he’s approached the player’s agent, Cury, to ask what’s and it seems there’s nothing with Wolves, or any other suitors at this moment in time.

“I spoke with André Cury, and he assures me that there is no official proposal,” he is quoted as saying.

“At this moment, there are only preliminary talks seeking information. According to André, everything is very premature.”

Bolavip then add their own information, stating that any possible departure for Alberto should only heat up between June and July.

It’s not the first time that the striker has been linked with a move to England, though, with West Ham linked with a move for the best part of a year. Nothing concrete has ever come of that despite numerous reports in Brazil.

In March, the agent was quoted as saying: “We have already had offers from Wolverhampton, West Ham, from Betis, from Spain, from Italy.

“But the player is young, every player who is in South America thinks of playing in Europe and with Yuri is no different. If there is a good opportunity that is good for him and for the club, we will talk.”
