Earlier this month, we relayed news from Germany explaining that Nottingham Forest had reached a verbal agreement with Borussia Dortmund’s Giovanni Reyna.
On Tuesday, Bild reported both the Tricky Trees and Marseille are chasing the winger and he’s expected to join one of them this week.
The American seems to be moving to Nottingham Forest, according to Sky Deutschland journalist Patrick Berger.
He took to X, formerly known as Twitter, to claim the 21-year-old has rejected the Ligue 1 side for Nottingham Forest.
Berger adds the attacker is ‘close’ to joining Nuno Espírito Santo’s side on a loan deal with an option to buy set at around €15-20m.
Reyna is ‘on his way’ to England to carry out medical tests with Nottingham Forest and then complete a move to the City Ground before the window closes.
Berger’s colleague at Sky, Florian Plettenberg, claims there’s a ‘total agreement’ in place between the Bundesliga side and Nottingham Forest. The player will fly to England for a medical today.
Plettenberg states Reyna’s agent Jorge Mendes has played a key role in helping the Premier League side in this operation.
